The Target Hope program combines exemplary instruction augmented by rock solid advice from college students and alumni. In order to be admitted you must forward a half page essay to Target Hope stating why you should be accepted into program. You need to include your personal information, which includes name, address, phone number, zip code, high school, grade point average, high school and extra-curricular activities. We accept students from the Chicago metropolitan area who are committed to learning.
Please understand that Target Hope is a nationally recognized pre-college academy. We were awarded the BP Amoco Leaders Award for (Best Practices) in Pre-College education. DePaul University, Washington University, University of Missouri-Columbia, Howard University, Fisk University and Chicago State University have honored the program for the sensational success of our students. Moreover, 55% of our graduates enroll in graduate and professional school after the completion of their undergraduate education. Our monumental success is predicated upon a very serious commitment to educating minorities and motivating them to increase their scholastic achievement levels in secondary education. Students are challenged to think critically about selection of a university. Target Hope cajoles students to select the best university for them despite pressures from external forces.
